How much do tattoos cost?

There are a number of variables that will determine the price of a tattoo.  It is best to set up a consultation with an artist you want to work with to discuss getting a price estimate.

How old do I have to be to get tattooed?

Due to our insurance we can not tattoo anyone under the age of 18 even with parental consent.  We do check IDs so be sure to bring yours with you to your appointment.

Do tattoos hurt?

Yes.  While it is a question we do get tired of hearing, it is certainly one most first timers ask.  Tattoos hurt.  Some areas of the body hurt more the others.  Everyone has a different threshold for pain.  We cannot predict your pain response.  If you are unable to sit steadily for your tattoo, it will be hard for us to complete your piece successfully.  It is important to mentally prepare for your appointment.  We have found that clients who bring friends along to watch them get tattooed usually appear and act more uncomfortable than those who do not.  So if you are worried about the pain, do not bring a friend...it does not seem to help the pain go away!

Do I need to make an appointment?

We do take walk-in, but your best bet is to make an appointment due to our artists often being booked in advance.  The best approach is to contact the artist you prefer to work with to set up a consultation or appointment. We require a $50 non-refundable deposit to set up an appointment that will be deducted from the final cost of the tattoo.  A larger deposit may be required for larger tattoos at the artist's discretion.

Is there a fee for consultations?

No!  consultations are always free.

How can I prepare for my tattoo?

Your body can be effected by a number of components. Make sure there is no damage to the part of your body you are looking to get tattooed.  Such as cuts, pimples, dry skin, or sunburn.  If your skin is damaged we will not be able to apply the tattoo. Do not drink any alcohol the night before or the day of your appointment.  Alcohol thins the blood and makes it harder to tattoo the skin. Also make sure you are well rested, hydrated, and have eaten before your appointment.  Doing these things will make your tattoo experience more enjoyable.
